We've been fans of the tangled guitar musings of Australia's good morning for a little while here at TMR. Now freshly-signed to Polyvinyl, the promising pair have announced their new album Barnyard with its satisfying lead single 'country'. Built around a web of catchy guitar lines, gentle overdrive gives a grittiness to the jangly arrangement as subtly robotic synth sequences bleat in the background. Guided by the subtly Springsteen-esque vocals of Liam Parsons, there's something magical and nostalgic about 'country' that reminisces from a perspective of new-found maturity.
